You don\u2019t know that you saved my life,&#8217;\u201d Burton said of Kelly on an episode of the \u201cDrama Queens\u201d podcast<em>,<\/em>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1307120\/hilarie-burton-explains-how-one-tree-hill-co-star-moira-kelly-saved-my-life\">according<\/a> to E!News. \u201cI don\u2019t know what would have happened to me if I stayed. I met my husband. My son Gus exists because Moira Kelly told me to run and so I did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just think about how different my life would be if she wasn\u2019t that one person to give me permission to just go,\u201d added Burton.<\/p>\n<p>The 39-year-old emphasized that she trusted and valued Kelly\u2019s opinion because the actress so successfully prioritized her family over work, just as Burton knew she wanted to do.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI so valued your opinion of me and of our business and the way you prioritized your family over work, and that\u2019s what I wanted\u2014what you had is what I wanted,\u201d said Burton. \u201cYou didn\u2019t have to say anything because you lived it and we could just, like, see it\u2026I have wanted to thank you for that, honestly, since I was 26 years old.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On the podcast, Burton detailed how Kelly, who was a guest on the podcast, helped her leave the show.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMoira, this is the first time I\u2019ve seen you since I left the show,\u201d Burton started. \u201cI\u2019ve wanted to tell you this for years and years and years, but in the last episode of the show, everyone in my world was telling me, \u2018You can\u2019t leave. You can\u2019t leave.\u2019 \u2026 You came and you sat next to me and you started off by just joking, and you were like, \u2018What\u2019s going on?&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was like, \u2018I don\u2019t know what to do,\u2019 and you said, \u2018Run,&#8217;\u201d the actress continued. \u201cYou started it off with, like, a joke, and I was like, \u2018Yeah?\u2019 You said to me, \u2018There\u2019s so many chapters in life and this is just one.
