To succeed, he needs to pass a multi-trillion dollar spending bill and maintain America\u2019s role as global leader in overseas meetings.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration has been negotiating with Democrats on Capitol Hill for months to pass the president\u2019s infrastructure legislation. Now, the deadline for key climate provisions in the legislation is fast approaching. Biden will meet with global leaders in Glasgow, Scotland, on Nov. 1 to discuss how the international community should address climate change. The problem, however, is that if Biden cannot shepherd his infrastructure bill through Congress before he leaves, he will have no box to stand on in Glasgow. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/22\/democrats-infrastructure-pelosi-biden-hoyer-oct-31\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Democrats Renew Pledge To Hold Infrastructure Votes By End Of October)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe president looked us in the eye, and he said: \u2018I need this before I go and represent the United States in Glasgow. American prestige is on the line,&#8217;\u201d Democratic California Rep. Biden spent Monday campaigning in New Jersey for Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy, who leads his Republican opponent by just six points after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/2021\/governor\/nj\/new_jersey_governor_ciattarelli_vs_murphy-7372.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">squandering a 26-point lead<\/a> earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>Biden participated in a virtual summit with Virginia\u2019s Democratic gubernatorial candidate, Terry McAuliffe. McAulliffe also lost a lead and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/2021\/governor\/va\/virginia_governor_youngkin_vs_mcauliffe-7373.html#polls\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">is now tied<\/a> with his Republican opponent, Glenn Youngkin.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, Biden will meet with Pope Francis in Rome on Friday, a key moment for a president who desires to be viewed as a devout Catholic even while publicly rejecting the Church\u2019s teachings on abortion and gay marriage.<\/p>\n<p>The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/18\/united-states-conference-of-catholic-bishops-joe-biden-vatican\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">voted in June<\/a> to move forward with drafting a statement clarifying whether U.S. politicians who publicly reject the Church\u2019s teaching on abortion should be denied communion. The organization has yet to release the statement, however.<\/p>\n<p>When Biden returns to the U.S. on Nov. 3, he could return a victor who secured administration-defining legislation and maintained U.S. authority on climate change, a key issue for Democrats.
