She said without hesitation, that is in fact what the purpose of the certifications are.<\/p>\n<p>Ardern noted it\u2019s about security, so those who are vaccinated can feel comfortable knowing there aren\u2019t any unvaccinated people around them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s become clear to me is they\u2019re not just a tool to drive up vaccines. They\u2019re a tool for confidence,\u201d claimed Ardern. \u201cPeople who have been vaccinated will want to know that they\u2019re around other vaccinated people. They\u2019ll want to know they\u2019re in a safe environment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>New Zealand originally pursued a full elimination strategy for COVID, though this has since proven impossible with the Delta variant outbreak.
