Chokshi <a href=\"https:\/\/www1.nyc.gov\/site\/doh\/about\/press\/pr2021\/board-of-health-declares-racism-public-health-crisis.page\">said<\/a>, praising the move by the board. \u201cThe COVID-19 pandemic magnified inequities, leading to suffering disproportionately borne by communities of color in our City and across our nation.
