Despite the seeming return to some type of normalcy, 47% said they thought the economy would get worse over the next year, compared to 33% who said it would get better.&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/12\/joe-biden-spending-inflation-hidden-tax-everything-purchase-coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Could Biden\u2019s Spending Become A Hidden Tax On Everything You Purchase?)<\/a><br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7305423\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" readability=\"33\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7305423\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cargo ships filled with containers wait offshore of the Port of Los Angeles on October 6. BROWN\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Biden\u2019s overall approval rating stood at 45%, lower than the 52% who said they disapproved but higher than several other recent polls which put his approval in the low-40s or high-30s.<\/p>\n<p>Those surveyed also said that economic issues were at the forefront of their minds when voting in presidential or congressional elections. Nearly 40% percent said as such, 20 points higher than those who said they prioritized security issues, which was the second-biggest group.<\/p>\n<p>Despite Biden\u2019s underwater approval rating and congressional Democrats\u2019 strained negotiations over the bipartisan infrastructure bill and multitrillion spending package, which together account for most of Biden\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/12\/pelosi-budget-fewer-things-well-democrat-cuts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">economic and domestic agenda<\/a>, 45% of respondents said that they would vote Democratic in the 2022 midterms if they were held today. On the other hand, just 40% of respondents said they would vote for Republican candidates.
