Recently, social media users have been sharing an image that purportedly shows \u201cBill and Hillary Clinton pictured on Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s private island, 2002.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The photo, traced through a reverse image search, actually shows Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, arriving in New York for his daughter\u2019s wedding on Oct. 14. The picture was published by numerous news outlets including <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/human-interest\/bill-gates-arrives-in-new-york-city-ahead-of-daughter-jennifer-gates-wedding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">People<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/lifestyle\/bill-gates-nyc-daughter-jennifer-wedding\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fox Business<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/10\/14\/bill-gates-lands-in-new-york-via-helicopter-for-daughters-wedding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Page Six<\/a>. The woman in the image is not Hillary Clinton, but rather Bill Gates\u2019 stepmother Mimi Gardner Gates, who garnered some media attention for the hat she wore, the New York Post <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/10\/15\/who-is-mimi-gardner-gates-meet-the-woman-in-the-hat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBill Gates and his stepmother, Mimi Gardner Gates, arrived in New York for his eldest daughter\u2019s upcoming wedding \u2014 with Gardner Gates beaming under a quirky hat,\u201d reads the caption of a nearly identical image published in the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/10\/15\/who-is-mimi-gardner-gates-meet-the-woman-in-the-hat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York Post<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/lifestyle\/bill-gates-stepmom-mimi-gardner-gates-hat-jennifer-wedding\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fox Business<\/a> likewise identified the woman as Mimi Gardner Gates. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2020\/06\/26\/fact-check-bill-gates-jeffrey-epsteins-private-island-17-times\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did Bill Gates Visit Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s Private Island At Least 17 Times?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bill Gates and Epstein did meet on several occasions beginning in 2011, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/10\/12\/business\/jeffrey-epstein-bill-gates.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The New York Times<\/a>. At the time of these meetings, Epstein had already been convicted of sex offenses, the outlet reported.
