(Victoria Jones \/ Press Association via AP)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 10:56 AM PT \u2013 Monday, October 18, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>Former British spy Christopher Steele appeared to scrambling to defend his role behind the false narrative of \u201cRussian collusion.\u201d During an <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ThisWeekABC\/status\/1449869758678114309\">interview<\/a> Sunday, he admitted his dossier against 45th President Donald Trump was not 100 percent accurate.<\/p>\n<p>However, Steele is still promoting his now debunked \u201copposition research.\u201d The British spy claims the anti-Trump dossier was based on rumors and Russian sources, but he refused to disclose who those sources were.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you have a confidential source and that confidential source is blown or is uncovered, that confidential source will often take fright and downplay and underestimate what they\u2019ve said and done. And I think that\u2019s probably what happened here\u2026I think anybody that\u2019s named in this contact, particularly if they are Russian, has every reason to be afraid.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Christopher Steele\u2019s \u2018Russian collusion\u2019 claims have been totally debunked and yet the media airs them as if they\u2019re credible.
