(Photo by Drew Angerer\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 10:12 AM PT \u2013 Saturday, October 16, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>A government watchdog group has called for an investigation into White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.&nbsp;Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) filed an ethics complaint against Psaki on Friday. She\u2019s being accused of endorsing Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe in a press conference on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The group alleged Psaki violated the Hatch Act, which forbids federal employees in the executive branch from political activity.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">BREAKING: We just filed a Hatch Act complaint against Jen Psaki, because no administration is above the law <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/BzwBa6Cd9x\">https:\/\/t.co\/BzwBa6Cd9x<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Citizens for Ethics (@CREWcrew) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CREWcrew\/status\/1449086230684225544?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 15, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI will say, I will leave it to outside analysis to convey that off-year elections are often not a bellwether, but there\u2019s a lot of history here in Virginia.
