Chan School of Public Health who is also editor-in-chief of the New England Journal of Medicine, CNN <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/10\/14\/health\/fda-vaccine-advisers-moderna-thursday\/index.html\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can\u2019t afford to have health care workers, even if not sick, be positive and infected and have to stay home from work because in parts of the country there\u2019s a shortage of health care workers and there\u2019s burnout everywhere,\u201d remarked Dr. Stanley Perlman, a University of California San Diego professor of pediatrics.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday a day later, the same FDA advisory committee voted unanimously to recommend booster shots of Johnson &amp; Johnson\u2019s one-dose COVID-19 vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>The Johnson &amp; Johnson recommendation was broader than the panel\u2019s decision on Moderna.
