(Photo by Scott Olson\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 1:08 PM PT \u2013 Thursday, October 14, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>Officials in Colorado have arrested a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of a United States Postal service worker.<\/p>\n<p>A 26-year-old woman, Devan Schreiner, is under arrest after allegedly shooting and killing the USPS worker while on the job. Authorities made the announcement late Wednesday evening, adding she was the victim\u2019s ex-girlfriend.<\/p>\n<p>In a press conference Wednesday, Longmont Police Deputy Chief Jeff Satur confirmed a male worker was shot several times in front of a Colorado neighborhood while delivering mail.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis afternoon, around 12:30, we had a shooting of a Postal employee who was delivering mail on Heatherhill Street and Renaissance Drive. He was at one of the neighbor\u2019s mailboxes. A person dressed in all black, wearing a black hoodie and a blue mask, approached the employee and shot him multiple times. He died at the scene,\u201d said Satur.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">ALERT: Per Longmont police, a postal worker was shot and killed at Heatherhill Street and Renaissance Drive.
