The book mentioned, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/transHuman-Code-Program-Your-Future\/dp\/1626346291\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The transHuman Code<\/a>,\u201d discusses how humans can maintain their humanity despite ever-evolving technology, according to the book\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/transHuman-Code-Program-Your-Future\/dp\/1626346291\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">summary<\/a> on Amazon.<\/p>\n<p>There is no evidence that the poster, or the alleged conference, are real. There are no events listed on the Vatican\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vatican.va\/content\/francesco\/en\/events\/year.dir.html\/2021.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">event calendar<\/a> for Oct. 23.&nbsp;Likewise, neither <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=(vatican%20OR%20conference)%20(from%3ACreusMoreira%20OR%20from%3Adafergusson)&amp;src=typed_query\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Moreira nor Fergusson <\/a>mentions the purported event on their respective Twitter accounts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know nothing about this and there\u2019s nothing in our internal publications,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/holyseemission.org\/contents\/mission\/staff.php\">Fr. Roger Landry<\/a>, an attach\u00e9 to the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations, said in an email to Check Your Fact when asked about the poster. The image was shared on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=transhumanism%20vatican&amp;src=typed_query&amp;f=image\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">social media<\/a> and the&nbsp;meme website <a href=\"https:\/\/americasbestpics.com\/picture\/note-the-keynote-speakers-credentials-elite-global-leaders-conference-saturday-Ek8M9TMz8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">americasbestpics.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While there does not appear to be an upcoming conference at the Vatican featuring Moreira and Fergusson as speakers, they did previously lead a forum titled, \u201cTechnology and Human Flourishing\u201d at the Collegio Teutonico in Vatican City in 2019, according to press releases from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accesswire.com\/553721\/Humanity-20-to-Host-Authors-of-The-transHuman-Code-and-Artificial-Humanity-for-a-Meeting-of-The-Minds-at-the-Vatican-Rome-Italy-July-29th-2019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Accesswire<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globenewswire.com\/news-release\/2019\/07\/29\/1892585\/0\/en\/Humanity-2-0-to-host-Authors-of-The-transHuman-Code-and-Artificial-Humanity-for-a-Meeting-of-The-Minds-at-the-Vatican-Rome-Italy-July-29th-2019.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GlobeNewswire<\/a>.
