In the original video, it shows fans at Ashton Gate Stadium in England reacting to a goal during a Union of European Football Associations Euro 2016 soccer game.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Berejiklian resigned from her position as the NSW premier in early October, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/asia-pacific\/australian-state-corruption-watchdog-says-is-investigating-nsw-premier-2021-10-01\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Reuters<\/a> reported. Her resignation came after the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icac.nsw.gov.au\/media-centre\/media-releases\/2021-media-releases\/further-operation-keppel-public-inquiry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> it was investigating whether Berejiklian engaged in conduct between 2012 and 2018 that breached public trust in connection to a personal relationship with former NWS Member of Parliament Daryl Maguire and grant funding promised or awarded to organizations in his electorate.<\/p>\n<p>The video of people in a bar supposedly cheering while watching footage of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=5AT9kLQNOE8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">press conference<\/a> in which Berejiklian announced her resignation has circulated widely <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CUrIDGtpSKW\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=6dcf64de-c65d-4a42-a192-4aee021cbecb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">on Instagram<\/a> in recent days. It has also circulated on TikTok. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/10\/11\/fact-check-new-south-wales-premier-gladys-berejiklian-resign-millions-dollars-pfizer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did Former New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian Resign After Receiving Millions Of Dollars From Pfizer?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Text in the video reads, \u201cThe legit reaction of everyone in NSW when Galdys (<em>sic<\/em>) resigned,\u201d while one such Instagram post\u2019s caption alleges, \u201cShe is being accused of accepting tens of millions of dollars from P f I z e r to implement policies that require citizens of NSW to get the V. She resigned. This was the reaction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The video, however, has been digitally manipulated to include Berejiklian\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=5AT9kLQNOE8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">announcement<\/a>&nbsp;on the screen in the bar. In the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Jvmmkx1dtmA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">original video<\/a>, the audience erupted in cheers after England\u2019s Daniel Sturridge scoring a late goal during a 2016 game played on the large television screen.<\/p>\n<p>Check Your Fact found the original, unaltered footage using a reverse image search of key frames from the video. CBS Sports included the video in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/soccer\/news\/why-the-usmnt-cannot-afford-to-drop-points-against-costa-rica-as-concacaf-world-cup-qualifying-heats-up\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2016 article<\/a> titled \u201cWatch as a bar in England goes nuts after late winner vs. Wales in Euro 2016.\u201d The U.K. radio station Heart News West Country also uploaded the video to YouTube in June 2016, where the caption <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Jvmmkx1dtmA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">described it<\/a> as showing \u201cFans watching Euro 2016 on the big screen at Ashton Gate stadium celebrate Daniel Sturridge\u2019s late winner for England against Wales.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the past, internet users have manipulated the footage to show different things on the television screen in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ashtongatestadium.co.uk\/the-venue\/independence-bar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ashton Gate Stadium\u2019s bar<\/a> in Bristol. For instance, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LlGtdxXrDmo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">one doctored version<\/a> made it seem like the crowd was cheering while watching \u201cGame of Thrones.\u201d Another one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=df9sA8q2fYs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">superimposed<\/a> footage from \u201cStar Wars\u201d on the screen.<\/p>\n<p>Check Your Fact <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/10\/11\/fact-check-new-south-wales-premier-gladys-berejiklian-resign-millions-dollars-pfizer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">previously debunked<\/a> the claim that Berejiklian resigned after an investigation found she received millions of dollars from Pfizer to push \u201cdraconian\u201d vaccine mandates.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A video shared on Instagram allegedly shows a bar full of Australians cheering at former New South Wales (NSW) Premier Gladys Berejiklian\u2019s resignation announcement.
