premiere&nbsp;in New York City.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/media\/brian-stelter-cnn-reporting\/\"><strong>WATCH:&nbsp;CNN&#8217;s Brian Stelter Refuses To Believe Americans Don&#8217;t Trust CNN&#8217;s \u2018Reporting&#8217;<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Stelter, who has repeatedly dismissed suggestions that mainstream journalists are out of touch with average Americans, recounted the glitzy affair in the Tuesday night edition of his&nbsp;<em>Reliable Sources<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/view.newsletters.cnn.com\/messages\/16340943437418c9c01359e83\/raw?utm_term=16340943437418c9c01359e83&amp;utm_source=cnn_Reliable+Sources+-+October+12,+2021&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;bt_ee=Vor0XzKay3b4DiBNzCsXvPmVJnDfYWuexRPx8RkzDRaAKwpA7ajVmu6IxJ6w6Kyjc18rMgdSjwvFqfirhAtVgg%3D%3D&amp;bt_ts=1634094343743\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">newsletter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;HBO held a splashy NYC premiere, complete with caviar and champagne, for the third season of \u2018Succession&#8217; on Tuesday night,&#8221; Stelter wrote. &#8220;The best part of the premiere at the American Museum of Natural History was the musical surprise right after the screening: Two performers played the theme music and led a procession out of the theater.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Stelter posted a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/brianstelter\/status\/1448115606167949318\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">video<\/a> of the procession on Twitter but declined to publicly document the after-party, where &#8220;an entire orchestra was assembled to continue the performance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The COVID-19 pandemic, and the slow return to normalcy, has affected us all in different ways. Stelter, for example, <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/parody\/journo-tears\/\">revealed<\/a> that as the virus took hold in April 2020, he &#8220;crawled in bed and cried for our pre-pandemic lives.&#8221; More than a year later, the \u00e9lite journalist can finally see light at the end of the tunnel. All it took was a glamorous evening swilling champagne with celebrities at an exclusive soir\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Everyone will have different moments that feel like life is returning to a pre-Covid normal, and this night was one of those moments for me,&#8221; Stelter wrote, empathetically.&nbsp;The CNN host wasn&#8217;t the only \u00e9lite journalist in attendance.
