At one point, when the two were together in London, the prince was pictured with Guiffre.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPolice said in the statement that they were contacted in January 2015 by a third party concerning Epstein. About four months later, police said they were contacted by representatives of an individual who made \u201cnon-recent\u201d sex-trafficking allegations against the rich financier and a British woman,\u201d Fox reported.<\/p>\n<p>The statement said \u201cthe department looked into claims about alleged sex trafficking in central London dating back to 2001, and determined that the probe would be largely focused outside the U.K.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOfficers therefore concluded that the MPS was not the appropriate authority to conduct enquiries in these circumstances and, in November 2016, a decision was made that this matter would not proceed to a full criminal investigation,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n<p>But the case doesn\u2019t end there. Guiffre in August filed a lawsuit against the royal in Manhattan federal court.<\/p>\n<p>The alleged assault, she says, took place at the home of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein&nbsp;when she was a \u201cchild.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Giuffre, who is seeking unspecified damages in the suit, says the prince abused her at least three times while she was underage. \u201cEach time, Giuffre alleges, she was instructed by either Epstein or his alleged cohort, Ghislaine Maxwell, to engage in sex acts with the Duke of York,\u201d the New York Post&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/08\/09\/prince-andrew-may-be-sued-in-new-york-by-virginia-roberts\/\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am holding Prince Andrew accountable for what he did to me,\u201d Guiffre said in a statement. \u201cThe powerful and rich are not exempt from being held responsible for their actions. I hope that other victims will see that it is possible not to live in silence and fear, but to reclaim one\u2019s life by speaking out and demanding justice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did not come to this decision lightly,\u201d she added. \u201cAs a mother and a wife, my family comes first \u2014 and I know that this action will subject me to further attacks by Prince Andrew and his surrogates \u2014 but I knew if I did not pursue this action, I would be letting them and victims everywhere down.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Duke of York has denied the allegation, saying in 2019 that he had \u201cno recollection\u201d of ever meeting Giuffre \u2014 despite photographic evidence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can absolutely categorically tell you it never happened,\u201d he said then. \u201cI have no recollection of ever meeting this lady, none whatsoever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
