Officials said Harrison was working his first shift as a part-time officer when Ferguson struck him outside the police station.<\/p>\n<p>Ferguson is currently being considered armed and dangerous. What led to the shooting has not yet been confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe investigation is very active. The most important thing is to take the suspect into custody. So, anyone who has any information, no matter how small you think it may be, please report it to any one of those methods that we give you,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/gbi.georgia.gov\/\">Georgia Bureau of Investigation<\/a> spokesperson Natalie Ammons.<\/p>\n<p>The agency announced it is offering a reward of $17,500 for information leading to the suspect\u2019s arrest.<\/p>\n<p>Harrison is survived by his wife and 6-month-old baby. \u201cWe send our thoughts and prayers to the officer\u2019s family, blood and blue,\u201d the Georgia Department of Public Safety said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Early this morning, Officer Dylan Harrison was shot &amp; killed while working his very first shift with the Alamo Police Department in Georgia.
