Week six of the college football season delivered, and in a big way.<\/p>\n<p>In the wildest weekend so far this season, No. 1 Alabama ended their 100-game winning streak to unranked opponents, No. 3 Iowa passed their biggest test of the season, and Oklahoma somehow found a way to rally in the Red River Rivalry.<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s just some of the craziness that occurred on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s take a look at the best from week six of the college football season.<\/p>\n<p><b>Oklahoma completes largest comeback in history of rivalry&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>The Red River Rivalry always gives us a game. It\u2019s college football at its finest with 90,000 fans split between the two teams selling out the Cotton Bowl. It\u2019s simply special.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>We had no idea just how special the 117th meeting between the two schools would be.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Oklahoma running back Kennedy Brooks broke free for a 33-yard score with three seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to break a 48-48 tie, and the Sooners completed the largest comeback in the history of the series with a 55-48 instant classic.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"8.8457142857143\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">KENNEDY BROOKS CALLS GAME \u203c\ufe0f\u203c\ufe0f<\/p>\n<p>OKLAHOMA COMES BACK TO WIN AN INSTANT CLASSIC \u203c\ufe0f\ud83d\ude24<\/p>\n<p>(\ud83c\udfa5 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/espn?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@espn<\/a>) <\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/cBdg3axpWv\">pic.twitter.com\/cBdg3axpWv<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 247Sports (@247Sports) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/247Sports\/status\/1446930851145650181?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 9, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>It was a tale of two halves, with Steve Sarkisian\u2019s offense looking unstoppable after jumping out to a 28-7 lead in the first quarter, taking a 38-20 lead into the locker room. But preseason Heisman favorite Spencer Rattler was benched in favor of the true freshman quarterback Caleb Williams at the end of the second quarter, sparking the Sooners offense.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cSpencer was seeing some things that we missed early that weren\u2019t on him,\u201d Sooners head coach Lincoln Riley <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/story\/_\/id\/32368467\/freshman-caleb-williams-takes-qb-ignites-oklahoma-offense-epic-red-river-showdown-comeback\"><span>said<\/span><\/a><span>. \u201cThe big thing to me was the turnovers. We made a mental error on the first [interception] and obviously the fumble.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Williams was 16-25 on the day, throwing for 212 yards and two touchdowns, including a 52-yarder to Marvin Mims on third-and-19 midway through the fourth quarter that evened the score for the first time since kickoff. Texas and OU traded touchdown\u2019s before <\/span><span>Brooks put a cap on the epic game.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThat\u2019s why it\u2019s the best rivalry in college football,\u201d Riley said. \u201cThe best setting. It was awesome, man. As good as I\u2019ve ever seen.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Ole Miss makes final stop to survive against Arkansas&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>1,287 yards and 14 touchdowns. This is what the offenses for Ole Miss and Arkansas did on Saturday.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Right around the same time as Oklahoma was completing their incredible comeback against Texas, the Razorbacks and Rebels were playing in their own barn burner.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Mississippi ran for 324 yards on the ground, and quarterback Matt Corral threw for two touchdowns, including a 68-yard TD to Braylon Sanders to give Ole Miss the lead with 1:07 left in the fourth quarter.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cMy number was called and I\u2019m supposed to make plays,\u201d Sanders <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/recap?gameId=401282100\">said<\/a>. \u201cIt was a double move and I was able to sell it and run by the defensive back. After that, I knew Matt would see me open. Our defense really stopped up to get the stop at the end.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Corral was fantastic all game long, rushing for 94 yards and two scores to go along with his two touchdowns in the air.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The game came down to whichever defense could make a play, and it was the Rebels defense that came up big in the end.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>With Arkansas down seven with 1:07 on the clock, quarterback KJ Jefferson led the Razorbacks on a 9-play, 75-yard touchdown drive, capped off by a 9-yard touchdown pass to Warren Thompson with no time left. Arkansas had the option of sending the game into overtime with an extra point, but Razorbacks coach Sam Pittman went for the win, drawing up a two-point conversion that fell flat.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"9.5927419354839\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The final play and best play the Ole Miss defense made all day. <\/p>\n<p>In one of the wildest rivalries in the country, Ole Miss outlasts Arkansas. <\/p>\n<p>\ud83c\udfa5 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/OleMissNoProb?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@OleMissNoProb<\/a><br \/>\ud83c\udf99 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RebVoice?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@RebVoice<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/4apKRGQrqd\">pic.twitter.com\/4apKRGQrqd<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Brad Logan (@BradLoganCOTE) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BradLoganCOTE\/status\/1447034947135549440?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 10, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>\u201cWe had three options on the two-point play,\u201d Pittman <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/recap?gameId=401282100\"><span>said<\/span><\/a><span>. \u201cWe could pitch, pass or run and we felt confident. They made the play.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWe stopped them on one play in the second half, so I guess that\u2019s a good thing,\u201d Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Iowa takes down Penn State at Kinnick Stadium<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>It was the biggest game in Iowa City since <\/span><span>1985, and it didn\u2019t disappoint.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford left the game in the second quarter with an injury, and backup quarterback Ta\u2019Quan Roberson simply couldn\u2019t get the Penn State offense moving in the second half as Iowa won 23-20 in a thriller.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Roberson was 7-21 for 34 yards, two interceptions and no touchdowns on the day.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Iowa\u2019s offense wasn\u2019t exactly impressive themselves, but the Hawkeyes took the lead on a 44-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Spencer Petras to Nico Ragaini with 6:26 to go in the fourth quarter.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"4.9395973154362\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">TOUCHDOWN HAWKEYES \ud83d\udd25<\/p>\n<p>Nico Ragaini comes up HUGE for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HawkeyeFootball?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@HawkeyeFootball<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/COYqsyeR9T\">pic.twitter.com\/COYqsyeR9T<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 FOX College Football (@CFBONFOX) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CFBONFOX\/status\/1446979880638427140?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 9, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>\u201cThis was like the biggest of the big-time, which was pretty awesome,\u201d Ragaini <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/recap?gameId=401282758\"><span>said<\/span><\/a><span>. \u201cYou don\u2019t get moments like this every day, taking advantage of the opportunity. It was a mentally draining game for sure, and physically draining.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cOn the sideline&nbsp;<\/span><span>was so emotionally drained that&nbsp;<\/span><span>almost teared up out there because we care about each other so much. We all want each other to succeed.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Iowa\u2019s defense turned over Penn State four times \u2014 all interceptions \u2014 and punter T<\/span><span>ory Taylor pinned the Nittany Lions deep in their own zone time and time again to remain in the College Football Playoff conversation.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIt\u2019s a pretty special place when the lights go on and the sun goes down,\u201d Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/recap?gameId=401282758\"><span>said<\/span><\/a><span> after the fans rushed the field.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Bama Stunned in College Station<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>Have you ever wondered why Alabama head coach Nick Saban never seems totally pleased with his team? We have to play better, we have to be more consistent, we have to finish drives, we have to get more turnovers on defense, we have to get more stops on defense. There are a lot of things we need to fix.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Quarterback Zach Calzada was brilliant after struggling in A&amp;M\u2019s previous two games, throwing for 285 yards and three touchdowns, including a 25-yard throw to Ainias Smith with three minutes to play that tied the score at 38.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cVery proud of Zach,\u201d Fisher <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/theathletic.com\/2879559\/2021\/10\/10\/how-zach-calzada-stared-down-alabama-and-doubters-closer-to-home-to-write-his-own-texas-am-legend\/\"><span>said<\/span><\/a><span>. \u201cHe\u2019s a high-character young man. It matters to him.
