Gavin Newsom (D) recently claimed the state helped Tesla CEO Elon Musk grow Tesla into what it is today. During a press conference on Friday, Newsom called Musk one of the world\u2019s greatest innovators and entrepreneurs, adding state tax subsidies helped his company get to where it is.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, Musk announced Tesla headquarters would be moving out of the Golden State to Texas. He previously threatened to move company headquarters back in 2020 due to coronavirus lockdowns in California. Although, Newsom has said nobody has invested more in Tesla than the Golden State.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy the way, it would be interesting to get the facts on how much California has invested in Tesla,\u201d taunted Newsom. \u201cNo other, I mean hundreds of millions of dollars of taxpayer subsidies we\u2019ve provided that company.
