While the Politico\/Morning Consult <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/f\/?id=0000017c-5391-db91-affd-fb99cc8c0000&amp;nname=playbook&amp;nid=0000014f-1646-d88f-a1cf-5f46b7bd0000&amp;nrid=0000014e-f115-dd93-ad7f-f91513e50001&amp;nlid=630318\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">poll<\/a> released Wednesday found that 50% of Americans supported the increase in payments, 12 points higher than those who opposed them, 52% of Americans said the payments should not be extended beyond their set expiration.<\/p>\n<p>Under the expanded credits <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/14\/child-tax-credit-joe-biden-american-rescue-plan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">plan<\/a>, families receive $300 monthly for each child under six, and $250 monthly for each kid aged six to 17.<\/p>\n<p>Although the package passed along party lines, just 47% credited Democrats in Congress for the expansion, and just 38% credited Biden. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/14\/child-tax-credit-joe-biden-american-rescue-plan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Who\u2019s Eligible For The Child Tax Credit, And How Much Could They Get?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7156577\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" readability=\"32\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7156577\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">President Joe Biden signs the American Rescue Plan into law. Joe Manchin called for them to be tailored toward low-income families, and he has insisted on attaching them to a work requirement, though some recent studies have shown that the payments did mostly enable people to <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/09\/23\/94-parents-child-tax-credit-payments-allow-more-work\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">work even more<\/a>. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/17\/americans-support-child-tax-credits-republicans-congress\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Americans Support Monthly Child Tax Credit Payments. Why Don\u2019t Congressional Republicans?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The wide-ranging survey also found that 55% of Americans approve of the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/09\/30\/infrastructure-vote-delayed-talks-stall-left-wing-vow-sink-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bipartisan infrastructure bill<\/a>, while just 31% disapprove.
