Listen to the full podcast <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/show\/morning-wire\"><span class=\"s1\">here<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><b>1) <\/b><b>FBI To Investigate School Board Meetings<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>The Topline: <\/b><span>On Monday, Attorney General Merrick Garland ordered the FBI to investigate an alleged \u201cincrease in harassment, intimidation and threats of violence\u201d against school board members and teachers. <\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_292767\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" readability=\"32\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-292767\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-292767\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Matthew-HatcherStringerGetty-Images.jpg\" alt width=\"600\" height=\"417\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dw-wp-production.imgix.net\/2021\/10\/Matthew-HatcherStringerGetty-Images.jpg 600w, https:\/\/dw-wp-production.imgix.net\/2021\/10\/Matthew-HatcherStringerGetty-Images-300x209.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-292767\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Matthew Hatcher\/Stringer\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><b>Background<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>Over the summer, a surge of parents attended school board meetings to argue against mask mandates and controversial content in classrooms, including Left-wing racial ideology and pornographic content.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Biden Administration<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>A few days ago, the National School Boards Association (NSBA) demanded the Biden administration get involved in investigating those who\u2019d attended some of the more rowdy school board meetings, claiming there had been a rise in \u201cmalice, violence, and threats,\u201d which they said could constitute \u201ca form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The NSBA cited over 20 incidents as examples, though all but one of them were examples of parents becoming loud and angry without actual threats or intimidation.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Reactions<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>Many on the Left, including those who support mask mandates and political content with elements of critical race theory in classrooms are applauding the move, but those on the other side are saying this is the Biden administration attempting to control dissent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What Now?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>The FBI is likely going to empower local officials to crack down on dissenting parents and pursue investigations.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_292768\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" readability=\"32\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-292768\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-292768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Yana-PaskovaStringerGetty-Images.jpg\" alt width=\"600\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dw-wp-production.imgix.net\/2021\/10\/Yana-PaskovaStringerGetty-Images.jpg 600w, https:\/\/dw-wp-production.imgix.net\/2021\/10\/Yana-PaskovaStringerGetty-Images-300x180.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-292768\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Yana Paskova\/Stringer\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p2\"><b>2) <\/b><b>Judge Considers Texas Abortion Lawsuit&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>The Topline: <\/b><span>The Justice Department argued against a new abortion measure on Friday, after they sued the state of Texas over its recent pro-life law.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Lawsuit<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>The federal government essentially sued the state of Texas, saying they\u2019d acted unconstitutionally by enacting a law banning abortion before viability.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/s.wsj.net\/public\/resources\/documents\/DOJ%20Texas%20lawsuit.pdf\"><span>lawsuit<\/span><\/a><span> argued the new law \u201cconflicts with federal law\u201d by \u201cpurporting to prohibit federal agencies\u201d from carrying out their responsibilities.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Law: <\/b><span>The new Texas \u201cheartbeat law\u201d <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/house-votes-to-codifying-a-right-to-abortion-without-any-limitations\"><span>effectively<\/span><\/a><span> outlaws abortion once fetal cardiac activity can be detected, which is typically around six weeks of pregnancy. It also allows private citizens to sue abortion providers and people who \u201caid and abet\u201d illegal procedures.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Hearing<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>On Friday, Judge Robert Pitman of a U.S. District Court in Texas heard arguments from lawyers from the state and from the Justice Department regarding the lawsuit.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The judge reportedly <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/federal-judge-questions-texas-abortion-law-in-case-filed-by-justice-department-11633112921\"><span>questioned<\/span><\/a><span> the Justice Department on the details of whether it\u2019s able to sue a state directly in order to stop one of its laws, but he also <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.courthousenews.com\/federal-judge-considers-blocking-texas-controversial-abortion-law\/\"><span>called<\/span><\/a><span> the \u201cprivate cause of action,\u201d \u201cvery unusual.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The state\u2019s lawyer <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.courthousenews.com\/federal-judge-considers-blocking-texas-controversial-abortion-law\/\"><span>defended<\/span><\/a><span> the law, saying it\u2019s \u201cnot some kind of vigilante scheme\u201d and \u201cuses the normal and lawful process of justice in Texas.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The lawyer from the federal government <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2021\/10\/01\/1041607684\/texas-abortion-law-federal-judge\"><span>claimed<\/span><\/a><span> \u201cwomen have been left desperate, forced under sometimes harrowing circumstances to get out of Texas, if they even can.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Capitol Hill&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>The House of Representatives narrowly passed The Women\u2019s Health Protection <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/117th-congress\/house-bill\/3755\/text?r=1&amp;s=1\"><span>Act<\/span><\/a><span> last month with a vote of 218 to 211. The measure would eliminate the ability of states to regulate abortion before fetal viability and take away many restrictions already in place. I don\u2019t know why it went down, but I know that for more than five hours, Facebook wasn\u2019t used to deepen divides, destabilize democracies, and make young girls and women feel bad about their bodies.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u2013 Frances Haugen, former Facebook employee<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Haugen\u2019s Claims<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>Haugen claimed Facebook isn\u2019t censoring enough, and based on her insider knowledge, she said Facebook only censors around 3% of problematic content.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>She claimed the reason the company is not censoring more people is because it puts \u201cprofits before people.\u201d She said she became concerned <\/span><span>about this when she saw a friend become \u201cradicalized\u201d to the far-Right after seeing \u201cmisinformation\u201d online.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Haugen<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>Haugen accused previous employers of various forms of bias and failure to live up to \u201cwoke\u201d ideals, as well.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>When she worked at Pinterest, she added a feature allowing users to search by skin color, and at another employer, she steered the company towards what she called&nbsp; \u201cinclusion.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In 2015, she said Google was not inclusive enough of women, claiming \u201cthe last team I was on at Google, it had a transsexual Eng[ineering] director, and as a result we had more transsexual women than cis women on our team.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>She\u2019s given at least 20 campaign contributions, all of them to Democrats, including to Representative Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Political Side<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>Haugen is working with a Democratic PR firm called Bryson Gillette, where Jen Psaki worked until she became President Joe Biden\u2019s press secretary.
