While independents typically rate the Democratic Party more favorably than the Republican Party, both parties now have the same rating among independents, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/355280\/party-favorable-ratings-near-parity-viewed-negatively.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according<\/a> to the poll.<\/p>\n<p>The party&#8217;s decline in approval matches that of President Joe Biden, who has seen his approval rating drop 24 points among independents since January, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/354872\/biden-approval-rating-hits-new-low-harris.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according<\/a> to a Gallup poll released last month. Biden&#8217;s overall favorability rating, 43 percent, is the lowest of his presidency.<\/p>\n<p>Independents&#8217; shift from the Democratic Party comes as the Biden administration confronts a series of crises, including <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/ig-blasts-bidens-handling-of-border-crisis-as-surge-overwhelms-del-rio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">record<\/a> illegal immigration at the southern border and <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/economists-warn-stagflation-is-back\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">elevated<\/a> inflation.
