During an interview on Sunday, Gottlieb said adding the vaccine likely won\u2019t happen until they are fully approved for children and there\u2019s more than one available on the market.<\/p>\n<p>He added this will likely take place around this time next year. Gottlieb recently said he believes this is the virus\u2019 last great surge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re going to see other states and local districts moving forward with their own mandates. Gavin Newsom (D) announced a statewide student vaccination mandate, saying it would join other required vaccinations like measles and rubella.
