During the sentencing of accused protester Danielle Doyle on Friday, U.S. District Court Judge Trevor McFadden suggested rioters in Washington D.C. and elsewhere during 2020\u2019s civil unrest were given lesser sentences than those who participated in the incident at the Capitol.<\/p>\n<p>McFadden added the Justice Department would \u201chave more credibility if it was even-handed in its concern about riots and mobs in the city.\u201d He also questioned why more protesters throughout the 2020 riots weren\u2019t brought to court.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">BREAKING REPORT: Fed Judge Trevor McFadden Publicly Questions Whether Jan. 6 Rioters Are Treated Unfairly Compared to George Floyd Protesters\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Chuck Callesto (@ChuckCallesto) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ChuckCallesto\/status\/1444089854099435524?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 2, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>During her time before the district judge, Doyle expressed her love for the country as well as her intentions on January 6.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love this country,\u201d she expressed. \u201cSo many people came here to represent things that were important to us, but in the blink of an eye, all of those things were overshadowed.\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>McFadden\u2019s comments come as prosecutors continue to claim the January 6 event was far more detrimental to the U.S. than the dozens of violent protests of 2020.<\/p>\n<h4>MORE NEWS:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oann.com\/afghans-plead-for-humanitarian-relief\/\">Afghans Plead For Humanitarian Relief<\/a><\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Protesters participate in a political rally on July 25, 2021 in New York City.
