Now, ever single eligible voter in California will be mailed ballots for elections without asking for one.<\/p>\n<p>Voters in California are still allowed to cast their votes at polling stations on Election Day instead of using their mail-in ballot.<\/p>\n<p>Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom (CA), who recently escaped a recall challenge, signed the bill Monday.&nbsp;\u201cCalifornia just made vote-by-mail PERMANENT,\u201d Newsom boasted via Twitter. \u201cWhich means every registered voter will receive a ballot in the mail for every election.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnlike other states\u2026CA is working to make it EASIER than ever before to vote,\u201d the Democrat claimed.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"10.95652173913\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">California just made vote-by-mail PERMANENT.<\/p>\n<p>Which means every registered voter will receive a ballot in the mail for every election.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike other states\u2026CA is working to make it EASIER than ever before to vote.<\/p>\n<p>Happy <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/NationalVoterRegistrationDay?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#NationalVoterRegistrationDay<\/a>!! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/SNfART2NpL\">https:\/\/t.co\/SNfART2NpL<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Gavin Newsom (@GavinNewsom) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GavinNewsom\/status\/1442853734287962113?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 28, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The practice of mail-in voting became widespread just before the 2020 presidential election, ostensibly as a COVID precaution. The new system dramatically increased voter turnout across the nation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncsl.org\/research\/elections-and-campaigns\/vopp-table-18-states-with-all-mail-elections.aspx\">According<\/a> to the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), with all-mail elections, \u201call registered voters are sent a ballot in the mail. The voter marks the ballot, puts it in a secrecy envelope or sleeve and then into a separate mailing envelope, signs an affidavit on the exterior of the mailing envelope and returns the package via mail or by dropping it off.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBallots are mailed out well ahead of Election Day, and thus voters have an \u2018election period,\u2019 not just a single day, to vote,\u201d NCSL explained. \u201cAll-mail elections can be thought of as absentee voting for everyone. This system is also referred to as \u2018vote by mail.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>NCSL highlighted the following earlier this year:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Five states\u2014Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, Utah and Washington\u2014allow all elections to be conducted by mail.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Three states\u2014California, Nebraska and North Dakota\u2014permit counties to opt into conducting elections by mail.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Ten states allow specific small elections to be conducted by mail. [Alaska, Arizona, California, Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, and Wyoming]<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Six states permit all-mail elections for certain small jurisdictions. [California, Idaho, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, and New Mexico.]<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Critics of drop-boxes and universal mail-in ballots have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2021\/may\/24\/republicans-2020-election-poll-trump-biden\">cited<\/a> the spike in Americans\u2019 mistrust in election results following the widespread changes.<\/p>\n<p>As highlighted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/arizona-ag-demands-maricopa-county-freeze-all-2020-election-materials-releases-statement-on-audit\">The Daily Wire<\/a> earlier this week,&nbsp;Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich has demanded a freeze on all election-related materials as the office preps for litigation and further investigation, following the release of a report on the 2020 election audit in Maricopa County:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"14.926677067083\">\n<p><em>The Arizona Attorney General\u2019s Office Election Integrity Unit&nbsp;(EIU) on Monday sent a letter to the Arizona Senate \u201crequesting supporting documents from the report released last week,\u201d a press release <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azag.gov\/press-release\/attorney-general-mark-brnovich-requests-additional-information-2020-general-election\">detailed<\/a>. \u201cAdditionally, the EIU asked Maricopa County to preserve all documents and data related to the 2020 election.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe Arizona Senate\u2019s report that was released on Friday raises some serious questions regarding the 2020 election,\u201d AG Brnovich said in a statement posted to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azag.gov\/press-release\/attorney-general-mark-brnovich-requests-additional-information-2020-general-election\">Attorney General\u2019s office website<\/a>.&nbsp;\u201cArizonans can be assured our office will conduct a thorough review of the information we receive.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Related:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/arizona-ag-demands-maricopa-county-freeze-all-2020-election-materials-releases-statement-on-audit\">Arizona AG Demands Maricopa County Freeze All 2020 Election Materials, Releases Statement On&nbsp;Audit<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><i>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
