(AP Photo\/Adrian Sainz)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 4:02 PM PT \u2013 Thursday, September 30, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>A 13-year-old boy is being charged with attempted murder after shooting a fellow classmate at an elementary school in Memphis. The Memphis Police Department said the suspect turned himself in after fleeing the scene Thursday morning and is now in custody.<\/p>\n<p>Officers said the victim, also a 13-year-old boy, was taken to the hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition.<\/p>\n<p>The school was placed on lockdown immediately after the shooting and it was reported that nobody else was injured.
