The union filed a lawsuit against the mandate, saying it would cause \u201cirreparable harm\u201d to officers.<\/p>\n<p>In New York, health workers have held protests demanding that their choice on whether to take the vaccine be respected. New York\u2019s vaccine mandate for all health workers went into effect on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHolding firm on the vaccine mandate for health care workers is simply the right thing to do to protect our vulnerable family members and loved ones from COVID-19,\u201d said New York Governor Kathy Hochul.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, President Biden announced that all federal workers must receive a coronavirus vaccine or face disciplinary action.
