That person said that a representative of the ABC talk show suggested the night before Harris\u2019 appearance that the tests had come back negative,\u201d CNN reported Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHarris and her staff didn\u2019t learn the truth until the dramatic moment on live television when co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro were abruptly pulled from the set,\u201d the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>The positive tests created a bizarre tableau, with Hostin and Navarro told, on air, that they needed to leave The View\u2019s iconic kitchen table. After a quick break, co-host Whoopi Goldberg was forced to admit the pair had tested positive for COVID-19 despite being vaccinated \u201cup the wazoo\u201d \u2014 per Goldberg \u2014 and Harris did her interview remotely from backstage.<\/p>\n<p>Navarro revealed later that the PCR tests had thrown a \u201cfalse positive,\u201d and Hostin claimed that the repercussions for the positive test went beyond The View studios.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe said her husband, a doctor, had to be pulled out of surgery as a precautionary measure when the news became known, and her children were taken out of school. All are safe,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2021\/09\/27\/1040910265\/hosts-of-the-view-covid-tests-false-positives-sunny-hostin-ana-navarro\">National Public Radio<\/a>. Hostin and Navarro later took rapid tests and another PCR test, all of which, CNN noted, came back negative.<\/p>\n<p>Harris\u2019 team, which has been notoriously prickly about how the Vice President is portrayed in female-friendly media \u2014 even going so far as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/kamala-harriss-team-goes-to-war-with-vogue-magazine-over-disrespectful-cover-photo\">to go to war with Conde Nast media<\/a> over a Vogue Magazine cover that earned social media mockery \u2014 now says ABC was not \u201cforthcoming\u201d with information on the COVID-19 tests and whether the Vice President, who is also fully vaccinated, was in danger.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccording to a person familiar with the matter, \u2018The View\u2019 has not been forthcoming with the vice president\u2019s office, leaving Harris\u2019 staff \u2018deeply concerned\u2019 about what happened,\u201d CNN noted. \u201cPeople familiar with the matter also said that ABC News President Kim Godwin, who was in attendance for the taping, was irked and embarrassed by the whole fiasco.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, the real problem seems to be that, because of the confusion, the Vice President\u2019s interview was delayed and then severely limited.
