Instead, I\u2019m sitting there for 2 hours learning about how I am privileged because of my skin color and about micro-aggressions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The teacher also described how no one at the training felt comfortable speaking up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause everyone was terrified to contribute to the discussion we were supposed to be having, lest we offend someone with one of the many micro-aggressions we had just learned about, the room was awkwardly silent for most of the time. The thing is, we started with these norms about respect of others\u2019 views, etc., but we all knew darn well that if anyone like me shared their views on it, we would be shunned,\u201d the teacher said.<\/p>\n<p>Parents Defending Education included a few slides from the training presentation, which began by saying \u201cWe\u2019re white. We\u2019re interested. How do we get started?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One slide, titled \u201cPyramid of White Supremacy\u201d explains that \u201cIn a pyramid, every brick depends on the ones below it for support. If the bricks at the bottom are removed, the whole structure comes tumbling down.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the bottom of the \u201cpyramid,\u201d is the label \u201cindifference,\u201d which includes statements such as \u201cPolitics doesn\u2019t affect me,\u201d \u201cTwo Sides to Every Story,\u201d and \u201cRemaining Apolitical.\u201d These are the bricks the training suggests must be remove in order to combat the top of the pyramid, which says \u201cGenocide.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another slide explains the difference between traditional justice and so-called restorative justice. Instead of \u201cestablishing guilt,\u201d like traditional justice, restorative justice allegedly aims to identify \u201cneeds and obligations.\u201d The slide also claims traditional justice provides \u201cno opportunity for remorse or amends\u201d while restorative justice does. This ignores the ability for convicted criminals to be granted parole (which doesn\u2019t always work) and the recent trend of social justice activists harassing someone until they are fired for perceived injustices, such as this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/ny-woman-loses-job-after-anti-racist-author-alleges-racism-at-dog-park-pushes-employer-for-accountability\">recent example<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
