Scott Applewhite)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 8:50 AM PT \u2013 Wednesday, September 29, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>Republican congressman Jason Smith (R-Mo.) recently called out Democrats for being \u201cthe party of the wealthy.\u201d During a press conference Tuesday, the Missouri lawmaker slammed Democrats for their budget proposal.<\/p>\n<p>Smith said the bill allows for wealthy Americans to receive tax write-offs, which the less wealthy do not qualify for. He also slammed \u201cfree college\u201d proposals and \u201cluxury tax credits\u201d as being a ploy to help the wealthy and not working class Americans.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">There is over $630 billion in Green New Deal funding in this socialist spending bill that only serves to increase the command and control that Washington Bureaucrats have over the lives of hardworking Americans.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rep.
