Ron DeSantis issued an executive order Tuesday barring state agencies from providing assistance to President Joe Biden\u2019s administration in transporting illegal migrants.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flgov.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/EO_21-223.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Executive Order 21-223<\/a> makes it unlawful for Florida\u2019s executive agencies to \u201cprovide support or resources to, or in any way assist, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, or any other federal department or agency\u201d in their attempt to move <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/09\/22\/haitian-migrant-release-us-del-rio-texas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">illegal migrants<\/a> apprehended at the Southern Border across the nation.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"9.2335766423358\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">By signing the Biden Border Crisis Executive Order, I am working to hold this administration and the federal government accountable for refusing to enforce the immigration laws of this country. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/J338gm595Y\">pic.twitter.com\/J338gm595Y<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ron DeSantis (@GovRonDeSantis) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GovRonDeSantis\/status\/1442896923506081796?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 28, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThis executive order makes it clear that Florida resources will not be used to prop up the failed open border agenda enacted by this administration,\u201d DeSantis said. He also noted that nearly 250,000 illegal migrants have been <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/06\/cbp-wont-say-how-many-illegal-migrants-are-released-without-scheduled-court-dates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">released<\/a> in the U.S. in less than a year of Biden\u2019s presidency, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flgov.com\/2021\/09\/28\/governor-ron-desantis-takes-action-to-protect-floridians-from-the-dangerous-impacts-of-the-biden-border-crisis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the governor announced a lawsuit against the Biden administration over its \u201ccatch and release\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/19\/catch-and-release-migrants-court-rules-against\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">policy<\/a>. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/09\/21\/haitian-migrants-attack-transport-bus-driver-try-escape-border-patrol\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Migrants Revolt Against Bus Driver, Try To Escape Border Patrol In Texas)<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He also appointed former U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Florida Larry Keefe as the state\u2019s Public Safety Czar on Monday. Keefe is responsible for protecting Floridian taxpayers from \u201creckless immigration policies,\u201d according to the press release.<\/p>\n<p>Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/29\/greg-abbott-restricts-migrants-who-pose-a-risk-of-covid-19-transported-communities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">similar executive order<\/a> in late July, which outlawed non-government entities from providing transportation to migrants.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/30\/biden-doj-sues-texas-greg-abbott-migrant-transportation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sued<\/a> Texas over Abbott\u2019s order and a federal judge <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/04\/texas-gov-abbott-transport-migrants-blocked\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">issued<\/a> a temporary halt on the governor\u2019s ban in early August.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Republican Florida Gov.
