In a press release on Monday, District Attorney George Gasc\u00f3n <a href=\"https:\/\/da.lacounty.gov\/media\/news\/district-attorney-george-gascon-dismiss-nearly-60000-cannabis-convictions#:~:text=Los%20Angeles%20County%20District%20Attorney,the%20injustices%20of%20drug%20laws.\">announced<\/a> his office would seal the record on nearly 60,000 marijuana convictions.<\/p>\n<p>Gasc\u00f3n went on to say this would help thousands of individuals find employment, housing and other services denied to them because of their convictions.
