Mark Milley admitted in congressional testimony on Tuesday that he spoke with journalists who reported phone calls he made to top Chinese military brass.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Did you talk to Bob Woodward or Robert Costa for their book <em>Peril<\/em>?&#8221; Armed Services Committee member Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R., Tenn.) asked Milley. &#8220;Did you talk to Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker for their book <em>I Alone Can Fix It<\/em>? \u2026 Did you talk to Michael Bender for his book <em>Frankly, We Did Win This Election: The Inside Story of How Trump Lost<\/em>?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Woodward, yes; Costa, no,&#8221; Milley responded. The top general also admitted to talking to the other reporters but declined to say whether his conversations were represented accurately.<\/p>\n<p>Woodward and Costa reported that Milley made phone calls to one of China\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/national-security\/milleys-favorite-chinese-general-is-one-of-ccps-biggest-saber-rattlers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">most<\/a> aggressive generals to assure he would give advance notice of any military action toward Beijing.
