Brian Kemp of Georgia is taking a play out of Florida\u2019s playbook and offering bonus checks to first responders. He announced the new program on Monday, which will use federal funds to provide $1,000 bonuses to more than 80,000 first responders.<\/p>\n<p>The funds for the bonuses will come from the state\u2019s $4.8 billion COVID-19 Relief Act.
