Henry Cuellar was the only Democrat to vote against a bill that would legalize abortion at any point in a woman\u2019s pregnancy and weaken conscience protections for doctors who do not want to perform the procedure.<\/p>\n<p>The Women\u2019s Health Protection Act of 2021, sponsored by Democratic California Rep. Judy Chu, passed the House of Representatives in a 218-211 vote on Friday. Every Republican and Cuellar voting against it. Democratic Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/09\/24\/house-democrats-pass-abortion-bill-roe-v-wade\/\">introduced<\/a> a companion bill in the Senate, which is not expected to pass.<\/p>\n<p>Cuellar did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Pro-abortion EMILY\u2019s List slammed his vote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCongressman Henry Cuellar has shown us time and again where he stands, and that\u2019s against abortion,\u201d the group said in a statement. \u201cWhile his home state has essentially made abortion illegal and inaccessible, Congressman Cuellar continues to stand against our rights to make our own health care decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"10.38036809816\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">EMILY\u2019s List is out with a statement condemning Rep.
