According to House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) on Wednesday, GOP lawmakers should vote against the spending bill because Democrats have tied it to a $3.5 trillion reconciliation package.<\/p>\n<p>Scalise has stressed reckless spending by Democrats must not pass the House. In addition, House Republicans said they won\u2019t aid Democrats in what they call \u201cdestructive fiscal policies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday\u2019s hearing will be used to try to shill this Democrat socialist dream of a bigger welfare state. They want to spend $3.5 trillion to raise taxes so that they can continue spending on all of these wasteful programs,\u201d said Scalise.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey tout free money. Everybody knows there\u2019s no such thing as free money.
