Ron DeSantis and Attorney General Ashley Moody. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/09\/16\/joe-biden-vaccine-mandate-goes-too-far-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: POLL: 48% Of Americans Say Biden\u2019s Vaccine Mandates Go Too Far)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe welcome the court\u2019s decision and congratulate the City of Gainesville employees on this victory,\u201d the governor\u2019s press secretary Christina Pushaw said in an emailed statement. \u201cThey took a courageous stand not only for their rights, but for everyone\u2019s right to make their own private medical decisions without fear of losing their livelihoods.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pushaw <a href=\"https:\/\/rumble.com\/vmgpf5-johnathan-cicio-anti-mandate-testimony.html\">highlighted testimony<\/a> from a Gainesville firefighter who spoke at a Alachua County press conference last week with the governor. Johnathan Cicio pointed out that he and his fellow firefighters, who continued to serve their communities throughout the pandemic, are not anti-vaccination but are \u201canti-mandate,\u201d adding, \u201cWe shouldn\u2019t be forced to take a vaccination we don\u2019t need.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough all that time, we served on. But now we are being told that we don\u2019t know what\u2019s right for us. That we cannot make our own personal health choices,\u201d he said. \u201cWe know. We\u2019ve been there. We\u2019ve been out there. Hundreds of us have had COVID and recovered, gaining natural antibodies. Many of us have immunity by exposure.
