Version: 4.0.47--><div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Biden-Vax-Meeting.jpg?w=1200&amp;h=800&amp;ixlib=react-9.3.0\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\" \/><\/div>\n<p>President Joe Biden\u2019s job approval has been steadily sinking over the last few weeks \u2014 he is at just 43% approval in the <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/354872\/biden-approval-rating-hits-new-low-harris.aspx\">latest Gallup poll<\/a> out Wednesday \u2014 but his decision to empower the Occupational Health and Safety Administration to police COVID-19 vaccinations in thousands of workplaces is tanking him with black voters, specifically, <a href=\"https:\/\/morningconsult.com\/2021\/09\/22\/biden-black-voters-vaccine-mandate-polling\/\">per Morning Consult<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The news seems to coincide with a protest out of New York City alleging that Mayor Bill de Blasio\u2019s own vaccine mandate, which requires individuals seeking to dine indoors at restaurants have at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, is providing cover for racism and may, itself, be racist.<\/p>\n<p>Morning Consult found that Biden\u2019s approval dropped a striking 12 points among black voters since September 8th, the day before the White House announced a comprehensive new COVID-19 mitigation plan that included a new OSHA rule, which, when drafted, will demand workplaces with 100 or more employees either require their workers to be vaccinated against COVID or submit to rigorous testing for the virus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Joe Biden\u2019s sweeping federal rules to mandate vaccines hasn\u2019t hurt him with the overall electorate, but it appears to have spurred a weakening of his standing with one of the most reliable pieces of the Democratic Party\u2019s coalition: Black voters,\u201d Morning Consult noted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince Morning Consult Political Intelligence surveys conducted immediately before Biden\u2019s Sept. 9 mandate announcement, the president\u2019s net approval rating \u2013 the share who approve of his job performance minus the share who disapprove \u2013 has fallen 12 percentage points among Black voters, driven by a 17-point drop among unvaccinated Black voters,\u201d the outlet said.<\/p>\n<p>His approval rating among black voters is still high, but Democrats are looking at razor-thin margins in 2022, and 10 points from a key demographic could be the difference between holding both Houses of Congress or watching the federal legislature flip into Republican hands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe September erosion accounted for more than two-fifths of the decline in perceptions of Biden\u2019s job performance to date among Black voters, providing a stark warning sign for Democrats ahead of next year\u2019s midterms,\u201d Morning Consult pointed out. \u201cWhile Black voters, who helped push Biden over the top against President Donald Trump in key states last year, are unlikely to abandon the Democratic Party en masse to back Republicans on the ballot next year, low turnout from the group could have dire consequences for Democrats in Congress, who already face an early enthusiasm gap.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The vaccine mandate appears to be to blame:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"7.1489361702128\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">61% of Black voters approve of Biden\u2019s handling of coronavirus, down 9 points since he announced the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/WFvY34dco8\">https:\/\/t.co\/WFvY34dco8<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/lqkqvZsQzH\">pic.twitter.com\/lqkqvZsQzH<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Morning Consult (@MorningConsult) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MorningConsult\/status\/1440702930689007622?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 22, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The poll speaks to perhaps larger concerns over how minorities may fare if vaccine mandates become the norm. In New York City, a recent incident at Carmine\u2019s steak house in Times Square ended up as a racial dispute with a Black Lives Matter group blasting the New York City dining mandate as racist and a cover for racism.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing a doctor does not protect you from anti-blackness. Having a vaccination card does not protect you from discrimination. The 1964 Civil Rights Act prohibits the actions of Carmine\u2019s. It says it is illegal to discriminate against you on the basis of race,\u201d Chivona Newsom, a&nbsp;co-founder of BLM NYC said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeventy-two percent of black people in this city from ages 18 to 44 are <a class=\"link rapid-noclick-resp\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/corner\/the-unforeseen-consequences-of-new-york-citys-vaccine-passports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-ylk=\"slk:unvaccinated\" data-rapid_p=\"12\" data-v9y=\"1\">unvaccinated<\/a>. So what is going to stop the Gestapo, I mean the NYPD, from rounding up black people, from snatching them off the train, off the bus?\u201d she added. \u201cWe\u2019re putting this city on notice, that your mandate will not be another racist social-distance practice. Black people are not going to stand by, or you will see another uprising.
