Similarly, production crews were required to be vaccinated or test negative for the virus twice per week,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/entertainment\/emmys-2021-los-angeles-county-responds-criticism-lack-covid-19-protocols\">Fox News noted<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The group then claimed that a fully vaccinated crowd was \u201cone of the most powerful ways\u201d to achieve COVID-19 safety, regardless of masks, contravening its own recommendations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFull vaccination of all attendees is one of the most powerful ways to achieve a safe environment. Testing of event participants and crew and optimizing ventilation are additional powerful tools,\u201d the Department of Health said. \u201cPublic Health will continue to review the protocols of future large television production events and prescribe additional safety modifications to mitigate risk of COVID-19 transmission.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"http:\/\/publichealth.lacounty.gov\/acd\/docs\/WhenToWearAMask.pdf\">Los Angeles County Public Health website<\/a>, \u201cEVERYONE*, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a mask\u201d in \u201call indoor public settings, venues, gatherings, and public and private businesses in Los Angeles County.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The LA County website does not make a specific mention of an exception for film and television productions.<\/p>\n<p>The Emmy Awards, held Sunday in \u201ctent\u201d had an entirely vaccinated attendee list, according to organizers, but few, if any celebrities appeared in masks. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/even-seth-rogen-called-out-the-emmys-for-how-it-handled-covid-health-and-safety-protocols\">As the Daily Wire reported on Monda<\/a>y, photographs of the event show only staff, assistants, and media wearing masks on the red carpet. Inside the tent, only some members of the production team appeared masked.<\/p>\n<p>Even actor Seth Rogan made note of the decision to proceed with the maskless event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet me start by saying, there\u2019s way too many of us in this little room. What are we doing? They said this was outdoors. It\u2019s not,\u201d Rogan said. \u201cThey lied to us. We\u2019re in a hermetically-sealed tent right now. I would not have come to this. Why is there a roof? It\u2019s more important that we have three chandeliers than that we make sure we don\u2019t kill Eugene Levy tonight. That is what has been decided.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is insane. I went from wiping my groceries to Paul Bettany sneezing in my face. So, that\u2019s a big week!
