Spokespeople for the National Guard and United Nations (U.N.) refuted it.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Fact Check:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo\/?fbid=189799233249252&amp;set=gm.4236769846444065\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">post<\/a> shows what appears to be a Sept. 2 article titled, \u201cChinese UN Peacekeeping Forces Are Now Training at Camp Grayling In Michigan.\u201d The text of the article goes on to state that \u201cat the behest of the United Nations, the Chinese military has crossed our northern border and are currently in Michigan\u201d and that Chinese troops are now \u201coccupying an area called Camp Grayling.\u201d Camp Grayling is a joint maneuver training center in Grayling, Michigan and the largest National Guard training facility in the country, according to the Michigan National Guard\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/minationalguard.dodlive.mil\/About-Us\/Units-and-Installations\/Camp-Grayling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While the Chinese do, according to the U.N. website, <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/wireStory\/china-affirms-peacekeeping-role-multinational-drills-80029963\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">participate<\/a> in peacekeeping operations, there is no evidence any U.N. operation or training is occurring in Michigan. The U.N. is currently responsible for 12 peacekeeping operations globally, none of which are in the U.S., according to its <a href=\"https:\/\/peacekeeping.un.org\/en\/where-we-operate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>. There is likewise no mention of any U.N. or Chinese military operations or training occurring in Michigan on the Department of Defense\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/search.usa.gov\/search?query=U.N.%20Michigan&amp;affiliate=defensegov&amp;utf8=%26%23x2713%3B\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a> or the U.N.\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/site-search?query=Michigan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for the National Guard said in an email to Check Your Fact that the claims in the post are \u201ccompletely false.\u201dA U.N. spokesperson also described the report as \u201cfalse\u201d in an email to Check Your Fact. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/03\/29\/fact-check-un-announce-become-world-religion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did The UN Announce It Will Become A \u2018World Religion\u2019?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/thecommonsenseshow.com\/activism-agenda-21-conspiracy\/chinese-un-peacekeeping-forces-are-now-training-camp-grayling-michigan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">article<\/a> visible in the post appears to originate with <a href=\"https:\/\/thecommonsenseshow.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Common Sense Show<\/a>, a website that, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politifact.com\/factchecks\/2018\/jun\/20\/common-sense-news\/fake-news-says-pope-called-world-wide-gun-confisca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PolitiFact<\/a>, once shared a false claim about Pope Francis calling for worldwide gun confiscation. The article goes on to claim the Chinese military is in Michigan as part of an imminent U.N. takeover of the U.S. that was previously rehearsed during <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statesman.com\/NEWS\/20160923\/5-things-you-should-know-about-Jade-Helm-15\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jade Helm<\/a>, a large-scale multi-state military exercise that occurred in the U.S. in 2015.
