The staffer alleged the customer told the restaurant he had his vaccination card, a claim the customer refutes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverybody in here is okay with that? Everybody in here okay with setting segregation in society?\u201d the customer asks other patrons, some of which are trying to ignore him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIs this the America you want to live in?\u201d the customer asks, to which another customer responds \u201cyup!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One customer is seen flipping the supposed unvaccinated customer off.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/tv\/CTyRMhfgWxo\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"13\" readability=\"-7\"><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cNo, f**k you, you\u2019re not American. You need to get the f**k out of here,\u201d the customer tells the patron who flipped him off. \u201cThis is America, and in America, everybody can eat!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou need to wake up!\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>The staffer then tells the customer he could be fined for breaking the city\u2019s mandate, with the customer telling him it\u2019s a fear tactic used by the city to enforce mandates.<\/p>\n<p>The patron then repeatedly insists the business cannot discriminate against him for supposedly being religiously exempt&nbsp; before the video ends.<\/p>\n<p>Juliana\u2019s responded to the video in a tweet, saying they take health precautions \u201cseriously.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe take the health and safety of our customers seriously,\u201d the restaurant tweeted Wednesday. \u201cWe also face steep fines if we violate City Hall\u2019s order. We are permitted to and do accomodate unvaccinated individuals for outdoor, socially distanced dining &amp; takeout. We appreciate your understanding &amp; support. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/5qWN6zIxBU\">https:\/\/t.co\/5qWN6zIxBU<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Juliana\u2019s Pizza (@julianaspizza) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/julianaspizza\/status\/1438097091356766208?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 15, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Juliana\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/julianaspizza.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a> features an advisory informing customers they must show \u201cproof of vaccination status\u201d and notes that \u201cregrettably, the City has not provided any exemptions to the mandate except for reasonable accommodations which at this time include only the opportunity for take-away or outdoor dining.\u201d<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/09\/14\/protesters-new-york-city-vaccine-mandate-department-education-vaccine-mandate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Vaccine Mandate Protests Explode Across New York City, With Some Chanting \u2018F*ck Joe Biden\u2019)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Democratic Mayor Bill de Blasio <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/03\/new-york-city-bill-de-blasio-vaccine-passport\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">announced<\/a> in August that New Yorkers must show proof of vaccination to enter certain indoor facilities such as restaurants.<\/p>\n<p>The city has not laid out specific guidelines for what to do in cases when a customer has a religious exemption. Current <a href=\"https:\/\/www1.nyc.gov\/assets\/cchr\/downloads\/pdf\/KeyToNYC_FactSheet-CustomerEmployeeGuidance.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">guidance<\/a> says \u201conly customers who are unable to show proof of vaccination due to their own disability are entitled to a reasonable accommodation\u201d under the guidance.<\/p>\n<p>Employees are entitled to \u201creasonable accommodations\u201d for needs related to \u201cdisabilities, pregnancies, religious beliefs, or status as a victim of domestic violence, stalking, or sex offenses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Employees must show documentation proving they need an accommodation for religious beliefs.<\/p>\n<p>The mandate, however, has raised concerns that there will be a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/03\/bill-de-blasio-vaccine-mandate-new-york-passport\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">disproportionate impact<\/a> communities of color, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www1.nyc.gov\/site\/doh\/covid\/covid-19-data-vaccines.page\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">city data<\/a>. Only 37% of black city residents are fully vaccinated while 43% have received at least one dose.
