That\u2019s according to documents posted to the administration\u2019s website on Wednesday, noting there are many studies to consider. However, the FDA \u201chas not independently reviewed or verified the underlying data for their conclusions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This comes as vaccine maker Pfizer released a document on Wednesday arguing a third dose of its vaccine six months after the second shot, restores protection up to 95 percent. These all come ahead of an FDA meeting on Friday to review Pfizer\u2019s request to approve COVID booster shots to all of the public.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">FDA is holding an advisory committee meeting to discuss the Pfizer-BioNTech supplemental Biologics License Application for administration of a third (\u201cbooster\u201d) dose in individuals 16 years of age and older. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/P1f5LL7vL4\">https:\/\/t.co\/P1f5LL7vL4<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gQGpjFqDtE\">pic.twitter.com\/gQGpjFqDtE<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 U.S. FDA (@US_FDA) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/US_FDA\/status\/1433177472036741122?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 1, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Some of the data being considered includes efficacy numbers out of Israel, where researchers have been studying the effectiveness of the Pfizer vaccine.&nbsp; Meanwhile, agency staff have said \u201cit should be recognized that while observational studies can enable understanding of real-world effectiveness, there are known and unknown biases that can effect their reliability.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Although, the Biden administration has continued to support the release of booster shots to the general public pending the approval from the FDA.<\/p>\n<h4>MORE NEWS: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oann.com\/sen-paul-calls-for-gen-milley-to-be-court-martialed\/\">Sen.
