This rumor stems from a website that says it features \u201chumor, parody, and satire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2020\/01\/31\/fact-check-bill-gates-pirbright-institute-patent-coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">variety<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2020\/05\/29\/fact-check-bill-gates-anthony-fauci-who-cdc-tribunal-war-crimes-genocide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">false<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2020\/05\/04\/fact-check-image-center-global-human-population-reduction-sign-bill-melinda-gates-foundation-headquarters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rumors<\/a> involving Gates have circulated during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, a Sept. 12 Facebook post alleges that a military tribunal at Guantanamo Bay found him guilty of \u201cchild trafficking, pedophilia, conspiracy, money laundering, murder, and public health endangerment.\u201d The post claims this decision came after \u201cfive days of heated testimony.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>These claims are baseless. Check Your Fact searched press releases from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defense.gov\/Newsroom\/releases\/?Search=Bill+Gates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Department of Defense<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/news?keys=Bill+Gates&amp;items_per_page=25\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Department of Justice<\/a> but found nothing about Gates being arrested, charged or convicted by the military. Gates\u2019 verified <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/BillGates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Facebook<\/a>&nbsp;and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BillGates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter<\/a> accounts also remain active, both having posted content within the five-day period during which the article claims he was on trial. Check Your Fact could not locate a single <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=Bill+Gates+convicted&amp;oq=Bill+Gates+convicted&amp;aqs=chrome..69i57j69i60l3.5159j1j7&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">credible media report<\/a> to corroborate the post\u2019s claims.<\/p>\n<p>The post\u2019s text originates from a Sept. 12 <a href=\"https:\/\/realrawnews.com\/2021\/09\/military-convicts-bill-gates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">article<\/a> on the website Real Raw News. While the website\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/realrawnews.com\/about-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">About Us<\/a>\u201d page states that it \u201ccontains humor, parody, and satire,\u201d the article\u2019s claims were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/davie.hall.104\/posts\/671340303840505\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">shared<\/a> on social media without a similar warning. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/09\/09\/fact-check-french-farmers-protesting-covid-vaccine-policies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Does This Video Show French Farmers Protesting Vaccine Policies?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Check Your Fact has previously debunked false claims about Gates stemming from Real Raw News articles, including one that alleged Gates was <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/08\/04\/fact-check-bill-gates-arrested-military\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">arrested<\/a> by the military and another that claimed Navy SEALs <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/05\/27\/fact-check-navy-seals-raid-bill-gates-ranch-wyoming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">raided<\/a> his Wyoming ranch.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Facebook post claims Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates was convicted of multiple offenses by the military.Verdict: False The military has not convicted Gates on any charge.
