In a tweet on Sunday, the lawmaker said Abdulrahman al-Sadan\u2019s sentencing was an assault on free expression by the government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDeeply concerned with allegations of torture in detention of aid worker Abdulrahman al-Sadha,\u201d she stated on Twitter. \u201cHis sentencing continues Saudi Arabia\u2019s assault on freedom of expression.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In May, al-Sadan was sentenced to 20 years behind bars under the kingdom\u2019s anti-terrorism law because he ran a satire Twitter account to mock the country\u2019s government.
