It is an attempt to redeem herself after a poor performance as press secretary, failed personal relationships, and unprofessional behavior in the White House,\u201d Mrs. Trump\u2019s office said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>According to Politico, Melania\u2019s mention of Grisham\u2019s \u201cfailed personal relationships\u201d appears to be reference to her former aide\u2019s \u201cpast relationship with former Trump aide Max Miller.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCiting three people familiar with the incident, Politico Magazine <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/magazine\/2021\/07\/28\/max-miller-ohio-congress-trump-profile-500187\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported in July<\/a> that the relationship \u2018ended when he pushed her against a wall and slapped her in the face in his Washington apartment after she accused him of cheating on her,&#8217;\u201d Politico noted. \u201cHe denied the allegation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough mistruth and betrayal, she seeks to gain relevance and money at the expense of Mrs. Trump,\u201d the former First Lady\u2019s office concluded in the statement.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/closest-melania-aide-to-publish-tell-all-book-trashing-trump-family\">highlighted<\/a> by The Daily Wire, Grisham served as press secretary and chief of staff for Melania after serving as White House press secretary and communications director for the president. Notably, Grisham never gave a briefing to the media as press secretary for POTUS.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201ctop-secret\u201d memoir, \u201c<\/p>\n<p>A publishing source <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/scoop-the-most-dangerous-trump-expose-eb3a05e1-05d8-4b04-be38-a159a4f58713.html\">told<\/a> Axios that Grisham will reveal \u201csurprising new scandals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I heard this, all I could think about was Stephanie surrounded by a lake of gasoline, striking a match with a grin on her face,\u201d a former colleague told the news outlet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere isn\u2019t enough water on earth to contain the fire she could set to all of Trump world, including parts like the first lady\u2019s orbit, which not many people are in a position to illuminate,\u201d the source added. \u201cIt\u2019s hard to articulate how much anxiety this is going to cause.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGrisham knows where all the bodies are buried because she buried a lot of them herself,\u201d a source from the publishing world said.&nbsp;Grisham \u201chas receipts \u2026 she was a press person and it was her job to make sure she knew what was happening.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Axios emphasized that Mrs. Trump \u201cguarded her privacy intensely and trusted almost nobody during her time as first lady. Grisham, as her chief of staff, was one of the very few allowed into her inner sanctum.\u201d The aide also spent time with the Trumps in the residence.<\/p>\n<p>A Politico report said Grisham suggests in the book that Melania did not want to respond to the breach at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.<\/p>\n<p>Days later, however, Mrs. Trump released a lengthy statement condemning violence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am disappointed and disheartened with what happened last week,\u201d the statement said in part. \u201cI find it shameful that surrounding these tragic events there has been salacious gossip, unwarranted personal attacks, and false misleading accusations on me \u2013 from people who are looking to be relevant and have an agenda. This time is solely about healing our country and its citizens. It should not be used for personal gain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur Nation must heal in a civil manner,\u201d Mrs. Trump added. \u201cMake no mistake about it, I absolutely condemn the violence that has occurred on our Nation\u2019s Capitol.
