Prior to the \u201cYes on Recall\u201d event on Sunday, Elder tweeted he looked forward to standing with McGowan as they \u201cjoin forces on behalf of all Californians\u201d to hold the states failed leaders accountable.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Rose McGowan is a brave and courageous person who understands how oppressive the system has become. I look forward to standing with her today at 1pm as we join forces on behalf of all Californians to hold our failed leaders accountable.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Larry Elder (@larryelder) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/larryelder\/status\/1437064816984682500?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 12, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>McGowan took the podium first and stressed to the crowd that Elder is the better candidate. McGowan also stressed how she is no longer a Democrat. She then turned the microphone over to Elder who first discussed school choice, noting how former President Barack Obama and his children \u201cnever set foot in a public school.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy point is, the Democratic Party has been the principle obstacle towards urban kids getting the first step towards getting to the middle class. Which according to the Brookings Institution, which is the left wing think tank, means at least finish high school,\u201d stated Elder.<\/p>\n<p>Elder continued with how he\u2019s been questioned on the results of the 2020 presidential election, saying \u201cjust once\u201d he\u2019d like someone to ask Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) if he respects the results of the 2016 election.<\/p>\n<p>The conservative radio host wanted to discuss the media\u2019s latest coverage of his campaign, highlighting the hypocrisy and double standard. He criticized the media for not reporting more on his recent attack where he was assaulted by a woman wearing a gorilla mask in Venice.<\/p>\n<p>The Republican said the story would have been seen on international headlines if he were a Democrat and believes the attack would even be labeled as a hate crime.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Sunday @ 1pm, Rose McGowan and I holding a press conference. Rose will detail how Gavin Newsom\u2019s wife, Jennifer, attempted to bribe and silence her from speaking out about Harvey Weinstein\u2019s sexual abuses.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Larry Elder (@larryelder) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/larryelder\/status\/1436902020976242690?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 12, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>McGowan also discussed her allegations against Newsom\u2019s wife, recalling a phone call where she asked McGowan what could be done to make her happy regarding the Harvey Weinstein claims of sexual abuses. Elder commented saying if this \u201cbombshell\u201d news were about him, it would be discussed until the end of his campaign.
