The estate of Aaron Danielson announced its $13 million suit Friday, saying he would still be alive if it weren\u2019t for city policing policies. They claimed the hands-off approach to policing taken by the city\u2019s Mayor Ted Wheeler (D), is partially responsible for Danielson\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p>Danielson was walking through Portland after a pro-Trump rally with a friend last summer when he was gunned down by an Antifa activist. Danielson lost his life to a single gunshot wound to the chest in August of 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The estate is also suing Wheeler personally, as well as the county district attorney for Danielson\u2019s murder.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are seeking justice for the preventable death of a young man, gunned down in a city with a dangerous and deadly hands-off approach to public safety,\u201d said Christopher L.
