In an appearance on Friday, Fauci was asked about recent research pointing to a previous COVID-19 infection offering better protection than vaccines.<\/p>\n<p>When asked how to make a case for vaccination to someone who has recovered from COVID-19, Fauci admitted he didn\u2019t have a \u201cfirm answer\u201d on that. He noted the study didn\u2019t say if natural protection would last as long as vaccinations, but it was something to be discussed.<\/p>\n<p>He went on to say, \u201cI think that is something that we need to sit down and discuss seriously because you very appropriately pointed out it is an issue and there could be an argument for saying what you said.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">What about natural immunity?<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rep.
