The plan also directs companies with 100+ employees to either mandate vaccines or weekly COVID tests or risk fines from the Department of Labor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy legal team is standing by ready to file our lawsuit the minute @joebiden files his unconstitutional rule. This gross example of federal intrusion will not stand.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Kristi Noem (@KristiNoem) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KristiNoem\/status\/1436064909654167558?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 9, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Noem has been joined by over a dozen other governors promising to resist Biden\u2019s executive order. The Biden administration is taking a heavy-handed approach to incentivize Americans to be vaccinated, as well as crack down on governors that have loosened up on COVID-19 restrictions and taken steps such as banning mask mandates. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/bidens-six-pronged-covid-19-action-plan-impacts-100-million-americans-includes-vax-mandates\">The Daily Wire<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"18.734059097978\">\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/covidplan\/\">According<\/a>&nbsp;to the White House, Biden\u2019s strategy \u201cwill ensure that we are using every available tool to combat COVID-19 and save even more lives in the months ahead, while also keeping schools open and safe, and protecting our economy from lockdowns and damage.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Biden said he is \u201cfrustrated with the nearly 80 million Americans who are still not vaccinated,\u201d appearing to repeatedly blame them for increased transmission across the country.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe unvaccinated overcrowd our hospitals; they are overrunning emergency rooms and intensive care units, leaving no room for someone with a heart attack or pancreatitis or cancer,\u201d he said.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Florida Governor Ron DeSantis also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/we-will-fight-ron-desantis-promises-to-battle-bidens-sweeping-covid-19-mandates\">announced<\/a> Thursday that he intends to \u201cfight\u201d Biden\u2019s sweeping mandates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow could we get to the point in the country where you would want to have someone lose their job because of their choice about the vaccine or not? I mean, look, some folks have reasons to do \u2014 maybe they\u2019re making the wrong decision \u2014 but to put them out of work and not let them earn a living because of this, I just think that that\u2019s fundamentally wrong,\u201d DeSantis said, later adding: \u201cI do not believe that people should lose their jobs over this issue, and we will fight that. If they try to do that through a rule like the Department of Labor, I don\u2019t think they have the legal authority to do that, but we obviously would want to support protections for people who are just trying to earn a living.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis went on to critique Biden\u2019s plan for convincing Americans to get vaccinated, saying that education rather than mandates had better results while being less intrusive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe people that have had the higher vaccination rates in businesses have been ones that have had programs where they\u2019re educating people, where they\u2019re providing them all the information, showing some of the consequences,\u201d DeSantis said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think forcing this and coercing people, I don\u2019t think this is the right decision.
