We owe them unity, so that we can fight the virus, not each other.\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Biden was asked on Friday about possible legal moves to block the ability to enforce the new vaccine mandates. He answered, \u201cHave at it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It appears that governors plan to do just that. Several governors issued statements after Biden\u2019s Thursday speech regarding his attempt to push vaccine mandates for workers across the country.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">As The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/governors-immediately-push-back-on-unconstitutional-biden-plan-will-fight-them-to-the-gates-of-hell\"><span class=\"s1\">reported<\/span><\/a>, \u201cThe pushback from governors comes after the administration&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/covidplan\/\"><span class=\"s1\">said<\/span><\/a>&nbsp;on Thursday that The Department of Labor\u2019s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will force all employers with 100 or more employees \u2018to ensure their workforce is fully vaccinated or require any workers who remain unvaccinated to produce a negative test result on at least a weekly basis before coming to work.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Biden said in his speech:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"9\">\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>\u201cMy job as president is to protect all Americans. So tonight, I\u2019m announcing that the Department of Labor is developing an emergency rule to require all employers with 100 or more employees that together employ over 80 million workers to ensure their work forces are fully vaccinated or show a negative test at least once a week.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/09\/09\/business\/osha-vaccine-biden-mandate.html\">According<\/a> to the New York Times, \u201cSuch a standard would pre-empt existing rules by state governments, except in states that have their own OSHA-approved workplace agencies \u2014about half the states in the country. States with their own programs have 30 days to adopt a standard that is at least as effective, and that must cover state and local government employees, such as teachers. Federal OSHA rules do not cover state and local government employees.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Initial reactions from governors include Republican Gov. Tate Reeves of Mississippi saying, \u201cThe President has no authority to require that Americans inject themselves because of their employment at a private business. The vaccine itself is life-saving, but this unconstitutional move is terrifying. This is still America, and we still believe in freedom from tyrants.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Republican Governor Brian Kemp of Georgia said, \u201cI will pursue every legal option available to the state of Georgia to stop this blatantly unlawful overreach by the Biden administration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Governor Kristi Noem of South Dakota, another Republican, made similar comments, tweeting, \u201cMy legal team is standing by ready to file our lawsuit the minute @joebiden files his unconstitutional rule.
