Scott Applewhite\/Pool\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>In addition to Luetkemeyer\u2019s, committee Democrats refused to consider amendments that would\u2019ve <a href=\"https:\/\/smallbusiness.house.gov\/uploadedfiles\/09-09-21_mr._stauber_amendment_1v1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">mandated<\/a> a Small Business Administration (SBA) report on the number of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/09\/chamber-of-commerce-job-creators-network-joe-biden\/\">small businesses<\/a> looted or destroyed <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/06\/violent-crime-surge-black-lives-matter-police-accountability-minneapolis-george-floyd\/\">during protests<\/a> in 2020, <a href=\"https:\/\/smallbusiness.house.gov\/uploadedfiles\/09-09-21_mr._meuser_amendment_1v1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">required<\/a> the Congressional Budget Office to issue further inflation projections and <a href=\"https:\/\/smallbusiness.house.gov\/uploadedfiles\/09-09-21_mr._fitzgerald_amendment_2v1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ordered<\/a> the SBA to study the impact of tax increases on Main Street.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday\u2019s hearing was a shame and a disgrace,\u201d Luetkemeyer said in a statement Thursday. \u201cAt a time when small businesses are working tirelessly to get back on their feet and serve their communities, Democrats are pushing through billions of dollars in reckless spending and leaving Main Street U.S.A. with their bill.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is our duty on this Committee to provide much-needed relief to struggling small business owners in the most responsible, efficient way possible,\u201d he continued. \u201cUnfortunately, Democrats are more interested in massive tax hikes and shipping our jobs overseas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/16\/department-of-defense-military-bases-afghanistan-refugees-taliban-evacuation-translators\/\">Taliban<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/13\/taliban-afghanistan-kabul-joe-biden-white-house\/\">took control<\/a> of Afghanistan last month after its militants entered the capital city of Kabul.
