Show creator Jon Favreau has stayed mum as well.<\/p>\n<p>But one of Carano\u2019s former co-stars is now speaking up on her behalf.<\/p>\n<p>Emily Swallow played the Armorer in Season One, and she offered high praise to Carano during a recent panel at Atlanta\u2019s DragonCon.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/thedirect.com\/article\/mandalorian-gina-carano-emily-swallow-firing\">The Direct<\/a> \u2014 a movie, TV, and gaming outlet that attended the convention \u2014 when Swallow was asked about Carano, she responded, \u201cAll I can say is that Gina, and working with her personally, what impressed me about her from the beginning is that she is so interested in other peoples\u2019 opinions, and is so welcoming of other peoples\u2019 opinions. She wants to have a genuine dialogue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Swallow went on, \u201cShe\u2019s just like that in her day-to-day life. On set, she\u2019s more curious about other people. She\u2019s very giving, she\u2019s very gracious.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 41-year-old actress, who has also starred on CBS\u2019s \u201cThe Mentalist\u201d and \u201cThe Supernatural\u201d on the CW, then lamented cancel culture, saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"13\">\n<p><em>\u201cI am thoroughly baffled by a lot of what we\u2019re dealing with right now with cancel culture and I think that it\u2019s\u2026 oh man.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThere\u2019s so many layers to it that are important to look at, but I think that the hatred that comes into it and when people start refusing to listen to the other side, no matter which side they\u2019re on, I think that that\u2019s really dangerous.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Swallow concluded, \u201cOne of the things that is so beautiful about our country is we have free speech. We can hear things that we don\u2019t like, and we can disagree, and that\u2019s fine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Swallow\u2019s account of working with Carano aligns with that of another Mandalorian cast member \u2014 Bill Burr.<\/p>\n<p>The comedian, who played mercenary Mayfeld in seasons one and two, said the former MMA fighter and fitness model was \u201can absolute sweetheart. \u2026 Super-nice f***ing person.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After leaving \u201cThe Mandalorian,\u201d Carano entered into a partnership to produce and star in a feature film for The Daily Wire.<\/p>\n<p>The conservative media company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/gina-carano-reveals-details-of-first-film-project-with-the-daily-wire\">announced<\/a> the first details of the project in August, revealing it will be a suspense thriller based on the novel \u201cWhite Knuckle\u201d by veteran horror writer Eric Red.<\/p>\n<p>The story centers on a serial killer whose work as a long-haul truck driver allows him to evade the authorities. Carano will play the one woman who managed to escape him.
